The club offers year round events - some shore based during the winter months and others involving cruising. Please see the events section for information on the current programme

 Ribble link cruise 2010

Annual membership costs £22 per boat. It is a condition of membership that boat owners have a mooring and third party insurance for their vessel.

If you would like to consider joining the club, you could attend an event to meet the members. Contact Godfrey Smith on 0151-289 4218  or e-mail gcolwynsmith@blueyonder.co.uk to arrange this.

The club publishes a magazine for members, Boats Afloat, three times each year. This contains details of the Social Calendar and reports on recent events. See below for latest edition.

The BSS has issued new guidance on safe installation of solid fuel stoves - see the 'Technical' section for further information

Members will be sad to learn of the death of Maureen Shaw. She died peacefully in her sleep in hospital on 17 March. Maureen was well known on the 'cut'. Until recently she was the custodian of Wardle Lock in Middlewich. She would always come out of her cottege to have a friendly chat with boaters and advise anyone who wasn't operating the lock correctly.
